My Students

After a very challenging school year teaching on Zoom, we are so excited to be in person again! Our class is made up of 30 5th graders at a Title I school. This school year is like none other. With new challenges posed, we are facing many hardships. We have spent a lot of time thus far focusing on social and emotional health. As we continue to work through these challenging times, we are learning to persevere through interactive SEL lessons.

My Project

These materials will help my students work on their daily self-help journals. These are interactive journals where students can learn different coping tools about social and emotional learning. Some examples of activities include daily written reflections, daily SEL art lessons, and many more activities. Daily supplies can be limited at school and students use pencils for almost all daily activities. Having an abundance of pencils will help students use proper materials to complete their work. All of the work completed for this lesson will be completed in class at school.
