Creating a captivating space where students can read and relax will help them appreciate the importance of reading. In 3rd grade we begin state testing, and being a strong reader is imperative to successfully taking the test. We will focus on how exciting it is to use their imaginations. I am hopeful that instilling a love for reading will make reading a first choice when a student has free time. This will all be possible when creating the perfect comfortable, quiet space, that allows students to get lost in their books. Having a large carpet will also aid in whole group reading sessions.
