Help me give my students access to more immersive experiences. Each year my team works at creating 3D immersive experiences for the children. We cut everything by hand and this would allow us to better serve them!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a Title 1 school with a large population of children whose families are new to the country. Our classrooms are filled with children learning English and the exposure to rich language experience as well as immersive opportunities helps build their connection to the English language. Reaching this diverse group of learners is very important to my team and me, so each year we work to provide very immersive and rich language experiences.
The last two years we have built them a community town where all the children on the grade level were able to go shopping and ride a firetruck to put out a "fire", we have built lemonade stands, 3D animals and habitats and the list goes on.
These materials will give my team access to cutting a variety of materials and save time. We currently cut all materials by hand. The children absolutely love the experiences and it makes learning about these topics that much more special! Having the opportunity to better and more efficiently meet the needs of our students would be wonderful and would continue to make an impact for years to come!
