My Students

Using technology in a math classroom has always been important. It is wonderful to be able to show students how math is and can be used in our daily lives. I would like to show students how an iPad can be incorporated bringing our classroom to life.

I teach a wide variety of students in grades 7-12 at a small rural junior high school.

My students are very diverse, with many different learning abilities and different backgrounds. I think it is important to allow students access to technology when learning, giving those the opportunity to use something they don't often have access to. Students that have access can learn different ways of using the device.

My Project

Students grow and thrive using technology in any classroom, they love to learn with it, as well as teach others about it. In a math classroom, it is not that easy to find a tool that all students can use. With an iPad and the Apple store with thousands of learning apps available, we can all find a helpful tool to support our learning and presentation of the material.

iPads can help bring a classroom to life.

There are so many educational applications available that can also meet a variety of learning needs. Math classrooms have gone from being traditional, to using collaborative learning methods.
