I teach a wide variety of students in grades 7-12 at a small rural junior high school. My students are very diverse, with many different learning abilities and different backgrounds. I think it is important to allow students access to technology when learning, giving those the opportunity to use something they don't often have access to. Students that have access can learn different ways of using the device. Students grow and thrive using technology in any classroom, they love to learn with it, as well as teach others about it. In a math classroom, it is not that easy to find a tool that all students can use. With an iPad and the apple store with thousands of learning apps available, we can all find a helpful tool to support our learning and presentation of the material.
