My Project

This project will put microscopic images on the screens of student smartphones using wifi technology allowing them to see 50 - 1000 times magnification! Students will study crystal shapes, and look at structures in the natural world through this lens that they can relate to.

The infrared thermometers are especially useful for taking the temperature of a liquid which our American Chemical Society Chem Club needs when making soap from oils and lye - the way it's been done historically.

It's exciting to have the opportunity to bring this type of visualization to students!
