My Students
My students are energetic, thoughtful, and full of curiosity! They absolutely love social stories with high visual supports that elevate their interests and motivation to learn! They relate very well with reading level stories and virtual field trips. They are very engaged in lessons about science and nature and all of them enjoy in-home experiments with daily common items. Being their teacher, I get to see how the magic unfolds in their eyes in every session. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Worldwide, the pandemic has thrown a huge challenge into the managed balance of learning and instruction.
The effects of this are more apparent in the population of students with exceptional needs. During remote learning, unexpected challenges such as lagging computer programs, data lost, and low-quality visual supports impede an engaging functional lesson. Lessons relevant to evidence-based practices often take a hit when technology decides to malfunction.
All of my students have an individualized learning plan that helps them work on their target skills to achieve the practical and functional skills needed to succeed. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky to have a group of learners who are excited and ready to learn.
My Project
Imagine bringing magic to students with exceptional needs during these unprecedented times! No pandemic can hinder an inspiring plan for my students to succeed. Now more than ever, our young learners need energizing lessons to cultivate growth and progress especially for our students with intellectual disabilities. This extremely fast and dependable computer can help my students to get more out of every synchronous learning sessions during remote learning.
Being able to open and navigate multiple learning applications will make way to a swift learning content program that my students with special needs will most definitely benefit from.
