Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students face the daily societal statistics of African-American youth in inner-city urban communities. In my classroom, students have the liberty to freely express themselves through music and arts culture.

These high school learners possess energy, enthusiasm, motivation and have great aspirations for their future, or as they would say:" When we "grow up." I enjoy working with them because I know I literally make a difference.

My classroom incorporates restorative practice methods that meet the academic, social, and holistic needs of students in my classroom and neighborhood community.

My Project

On a daily basis throughout the day, many students always ask for food or snacks and share they do not have proper personal hygiene supplies. With your help, students in need will receive care kits with personal hygiene and snacks to help them make it through the day both during and after school. A small snack can make a big difference in the life of a hungry scholar.

Your investment in the lives of these scholars will help as encouragement for students, and will also make them feel they are cared for and loved by their school community.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
