My Project

Every spring my 2nd graders get a hands-on experience with hatching, fertilized chicken eggs. This unique experience of hatching baby chicks provides them with a front row seat to the joys of life and the disappointment when an egg doesn't hatch.

Providing fun and factual books and toys, plus the necessary supplies will make this real-life, hands-on experience a success.

These resources will provide them with unique vocabulary and teach them how to nurture the baby chicks. They will learn what their role is to help the chicks thrive and grow. This is a memory that each child treasures and one they will never forget.

Mrs. Denning will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 13.
