Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The school fever is now in full swing. I'm nervous starting again another year with eager students and hopeful. As a mathematics teacher, my goal is to create an environment where math is engaging and beautiful. As a result, all the items I am requesting helps alleviate the burden of cost on the students.
We will use notebooks, crayons, makers, and glue sticks to create interactive notebooks to help students digest difficult topics like calculus.
Bringing colors to the math classroom environment helps students differentiate challenging topics. Students will able to use the materials to color graphs, make reference to important ideas, and create projects that are geared to help with retention and relevancy. Imagine a classroom where the teacher gives students the opportunity to engage with the mathematics not simply hear what they learn but put it into practice. This is the objective of the project.
