Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For Earth Day my class and I learned about the many ways we can care for our planet. We read articles, watched videos, and learned the different things we can do. My class was really interested in the idea of planting trees or flowers to make our world a better place. They were excited about this because this is something we've already been doing in our class since the first day of school!

There are many succulents and plants in our classroom that my students have gotten to take turns watering all year, so what a great way to continue our learning of Earth Day by getting a plant of their own!

My students would also love to show off their creativity by being able to decorate their own terra-cotta pots with some acrylic paint pens. They will also be excited to choose their own succulent out of the variety pack. This will be a wonderful science and art activity to do with my students to celebrate our love for our planet Earth!
