Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year, one of my goals has been to create academic, attendance, and conduct interventions to support our students. With these interventions comes the need for rewards and incentives for students who meet certain goals and criteria. The ultimate goal is to create longlife learners.

Everyone works harder and feels better when they are acknowledged and feel seen, heard, understood and rewarded for their efforts.

Our scholars are amazing, resilient students who need a little push and motivation to either begin to create good attendance and academic habits or continue with the positive habits they already have.

Our students love snacks and the ones on this project are among the most popular ones. I will run reports on student attendance, punctuality, and grades. Students will be rewarded with snacks and drinks. Spicy chips and juice will be given to let them know their attendance is “on fire” and chocolate milk and cookies will be given with a message that they are “smart cookies.” Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to instill positive habits in our students that will ultimately make them lifelong learners with skills that will make them successful and productive citizens.
