Help me give my students the ability to store, save and copy information needed for resumes', scholarships, and college acceptance information with flash drives, folders, paper, and highlighters.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have senior students that are business-oriented. They are career-driven and motivated, despite some of the circumstances that may be in. My students are very enthusiastic learners who are eager to learn.
My school is a Title I school; therefore, the students lack a lot of the needed materials and resources.
My students face many challenges such as poverty, low self-esteem, no motivation, and inadequate healthcare just to name a few. The students are at a disadvantage for the basic college readiness materials. Even though they face challenges, they remain driven to want to do better.
My Project
Coming from various disparities including poverty and indecent living conditions, students do not see themselves on a collegiate level. They feel they do not have the necessary tools to aid in their academic success. These students need something tangible to see the future and believe in themselves. They need to believe that college can be achieved whether it be a two-year, a four-year, or straight to work.
Students need a tangible way to complete resumes, write essays for college, apply for scholarship applications correctly while they are still in high school.
With the use of these flash drives, folders, paper, and highlighters, students will be able to be college-ready.
