Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am seeking donations to help create a Social Emotional Learning space that is welcoming and calming for our students. It also helps a lot of our students with sensory needs find a calming space when they are having a hard time regulating.

Working in a district that serves a high poverty area my goal is to create a stress free environment.

Softer lighting creates a calm and cozy classroom that regulate student emotions and gives them a more learning friendly environment. I have included positive affirmation wall lighting to help remind students to stay positive and be kind to others. I have also included some bulletin board signs to continue to create spaces that remind our students to make positive choices in the classroom.
