My Students

I come in contact with over 400 uniquely individual students each day. We service general education students, English language learners, and special education students. This diverse group of kids have different wants and needs. Like most little ones, they are full of excitement, energy, and thirst to learn more.

At RES, we focus on creating a positive environment that embraces all personalities.

We use research based interventions to help all students become successful in and out of the classroom.

My Project

Yoga teaches mindfulness, relaxation, breath control, following directions, concentration, and body awareness. Research shows positive impact on school-based yoga and mindfulness lessons. These programs enhance student health, behavior, and concentration.

Our students at RES need yoga mats to practice yoga and mindfulness to increase academic and social behaviors.

I am asking for 26 mats because my biggest class size is 26 students. Yoga mats give each student a special place in the room and an awareness of their boundaries in the yoga room. This program is offered to all of our students throughout the school year. They really enjoy their yoga experiences, and these mats will help grow our program and body awareness.
