I teach 49 delightful, excited and inquisitive kindergartners. Kindergarten is truly a magical year as these five and six-year-olds begin to put letters and sounds together to make simple words.
My kindergartners look forward to coming to school every day and love to learn.
Some of my students are just learning the letters in their name and some of my students are beginning to read.
Kindergarten is such an important building block for the making of a future successful student with good basic skills.
My students are just beginning to learn to read. They are in need of books that on a beginning level matching the vocabulary and skills we are working on in class. Leveled books will help to build the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really love. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and we are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books right on their level which will help them continue to grow as beginning readers.
