My Students

Our school is in Danville, California. We study all academic areas. Students are engaged in whole group discussions, small group work, and partner projects. My students are inquisitive, and love writing and working in small groups as well as individually.

Today's students have never known life without smartphones, iPads, or the internet.

As a result, technology is second nature to them and has made its way into all aspects of learning in the classroom. In our room, we use Chromebooks daily. They are used to support math, reading, spelling, and phonics. Students also use Chromebooks to research projects, writing assignments, and strengthen typing and test-taking skills. Using these devices makes learning more accessible and engaging for my students.

My Project

In our class, we would like to update our Chromebook mice to wireless. Using a mouse with the Chromebook provides easier navigation for students as they work. Often, it is hard for third graders to use the touchpad on the bottom of the Chromebook. The ease and familiarity of using a wireless mouse would allow students to more fluidly use the computer as a learning tool.

Keyboard covers will protect the integrity of our Chromebooks which are used extensively each year.

In order to keep our Chromebooks in working shape year to year, keyboard covers are essential. They keep the keyboard clean and protect it from wear and tear. They are durable, washable, easy to apply and remove for cleaning or disinfecting. Also the rainbow covers are color coded to help students know where to place their fingers on homerow and to help with keyboarding skills.
