My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, but come to school every day ready to grow. At my school, children learn through hands-on exploration and cross-curricular instruction, supported by a STEAM focused curriculum.
“What,” “why,” "when," and “how” are words that are embraced and encouraged in my classroom.
Students are agents of their own learning and given the space to investigate their interests. My classroom is a place for students to grow, imagine, and thrive, all through learning.
These classic and diverse titles will supply my students with the materials they need to grow as consumers of literature! Within these books, we will learn tenants of grammar, comprehension skills, and other lessons of literacy. Most importantly, we will work to build a love of reading!
Students learn best through physical trade books they can hold in their hands.
These books will provide my learners with opportunities to build basic literacy skills as we work to read on-level for 2nd Graders. This is a goal of our classroom as well as our school as a whole, and these books will be crucial to achieving that!
