My Students

Welcome to my classroom! I am starting my second year as a special education teacher to students with mild to moderate autism. My students range from first grade to third grade. My students are learning math, language arts, science, art, social studies, and social skills. My students have a wide range of skills and abilities and I want to give them a classroom that helps them engage in learning.

My students benefit from having adapted materials to help them learn functional and academic concepts.

My students love hands-on activities and I love being able to promote their learning through things that interest them.

My Project

I have an amazing group of students, that love to learn. They benefit from having hands-on materials that they can use to learn new concepts rather than the traditional paper and pencil worksheets. By adapting the materials it will make learning new skills and concepts more accessible for my students.

Being able to make and adapt what we are working on will allow them to learn new concepts and skills.

Having a binding machine, paper, lamination, and Velcro will allow me to make books and activities for my students to be able to learn new skills and to practice them independently.
