I teach a class full of diverse learners that will use these supplies to help them be successful at school. My students are on the autism spectrum and will benefit from the math and reading activities that will keep them engaged while they practice these skills. My students rely on having visual supports throughout their day; by having a colored printer and ink I will be able to provide those supports for my students right away. We are constantly using Velcro and lamination as we make file folder activities and tasks for my students to use as they learn new material. My students love music and sadly our classroom lacks a proper speaker; the JBL speaker will make it so my all my students can hear the music/activity. We need the bean bag chair fillers to fill our very flat bean bag chairs in the break area. My students use this area when they are frustrated or upset. Osmo is a product for the iPad that will help my students with fine motor skills and will keep them engaged in the activity. Having the timers will give my students a visual of how much time they have left until we switch to the next activity. This will help my students with making their transitions smoother. The Can Do and sight word activities will benefit my students who are still learning how to read and make words. My students enjoy doing art, so the construction paper will make it possible for us to do so many different projects. A few of my students are working on dribbling the ball and our classroom currently lacks bouncy balls. These will make it possible for my students to build their skills. It will also be a learning opportunity in sharing and playing together.
