Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a truly dynamic and hardworking group of 76 middle school students ranging in age from 12 to 15. I am preparing my students for career interest and education in STEM and other related fields.

My students focus their time on completing virtual, hands-on, and print lab experiments.

As budding future scientists, I believe my students are the future leaders and innovators in the field. It is my goal to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and disposition necessary to be successful.

Please help my students achieve their goals of pursuing STEM related educational and career interests.

My Project

Creating, building, and making are an every day part of my classroom. My students are not only interested in science, but many of my students are also artistically gifted. The Cricut machine will allow my students to take their science projects to the next level by providing a tool to make amazing creations.

The vinegar and ziloc bags included in this project will allow us to continue our bread mold lab.

In addition, the ziploc bags and pens will also allow my students to carefully organize and label their individual lab supplies. I want my students to feel confident in their ability to create work they can be proud of. Throughout the year my students work on a number of projects that require them to create posters and newsletters. Having access to a Cricut machine will allow my students to create work that can not only be shared with the entire school, but also allow them to complete in district wide and possibly statewide Science competitions. The materials included in this project will provide an opportunity for my students to take their work to the next level.
