My Project

My 9th graders are a great group of kids. They are willing to learn yet sometimes they need some help understanding the information. When I do hands on activities with them, we are able to transform the mundane paperwork into something more exciting.

The hands on manipulation of the Potato Heads will present the information about genotypes and phenotypes in a fun way.

The passing on of traits will be based upon the characteristics of the parent potato heads. The goal of this activity is to improve their understanding of the content and allow social interactions to be less stressful.
