Help me give my students supplies that that will help them learn about emotions. We work hard as a class to learn to identify our emotions and how to deal with them.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a Pre-K class of 3 and 4 years olds with varying exceptionalities, including physical impairments, learning disabilities and sensory impairments. The goal of the class is to teach these students social and self-help skills, while also teaching pre-school academic skills. We work to give our students the best head start for Kindergarten.
My students work hard to be able to communicate and interact with others.
We strive to teach our students to be independent and learn social skills.
My Project
Our class includes students from three to five year olds. Many have a hard time expressing how they feel. We are always looking for tools to help them be more expressive. With these books and monster faces, the students will be able to hear stories and talk about how the characters feel. Using the monsters, we can complete activities talking about our feelings.
Many times students can become frustrated because they do not know how to properly express feelings or cannot communicate.
Showing them new strategies for communicating and expressing themselves will help with self-esteem and behavior. Once they can identify their feelings, they can apply sensory or relaxing strategies to calm themselves.
