Ice, Ice, Culinary!

Help me give my students a reliable ice maker that will provide the ice they need to safely prepare and cool foods while exploring the science of temperature, food safety, and other hands-on culinary STEM concepts.

My Project

My students are excited to learn through hands-on culinary experiences that connect cooking with science, math, creativity, and important life skills. An ice maker will help make these experiences safer, easier, and more authentic.

With a reliable source of ice right in our classroom, students will be able to safely cool foods, create ice baths, prepare cold recipes and beverages, and explore how temperature affects food.

The ice maker will also support lessons on food safety, heat transfer, states of matter, measurement, and other STEM concepts.

Having ice readily available means we can spend less time trying to locate and transport ice and more time learning, experimenting, and creating. This ice maker will be a resource we can use throughout the school year for many different culinary projects.

Your support will help us create a more functional culinary learning space where students can build confidence, practice real-world skills, work together, and discover the science behind the food they prepare.
