My Students

Technology is changing faster than ever these days. Students are more tech savvy than most of their teachers! This advancement needs to be taken advantage of in the classroom.

I have a classroom of 20 students who are aged seven to eight years old.

They are in the second grade and crave any use of technology possible during the day. They are one of the sweetest groups of kids I have ever worked with. We are at an elementary school where they have access to all types of technology at home, but don't have the same access at school.

My Project

I will use the iPads that I receive in many different ways. First, I will use one as a whole group teaching/managing device. I can display apps, timers and numerous other things from the iPad to the large screen in my classroom. The other two iPads will be used by individual students as learning stations in literacy and math and as a reward for good behavior.

Donations to this project will improve my classroom by bringing technology into the classroom instead of just their home lives.

This will change their lives by being able to use the skills that they have learned at home in a classroom learning environment.
