My Students

Imagine the excitement of second graders with a world of information at their fingertips! New and exciting technology, like the iPad mini, will unleash limitless resources and learning opportunities to enhance student learning!

Our wonderful school is in a small town outside of our state capital.

I have 15 wonderful second graders who love school and love to learn! In order to meet the needs of my students, I use a workshop model of teaching. I work with small groups of students while others are engaged in independent activities. One of these activities would be using the iPad mini to reinforce reading, writing, and math skills. Using an iPad mini will be a novel and exciting way for my students to work independently.

My Project

I am requesting an iPad mini, protective case, Apple TV digital multimedia receiver, and speakers. With the iPad mini, my students will be able to access a variety of educational apps to reinforce Common Core standards in literacy and math. It will be a new and engaging way for them to practice their skills independently. They will also be able to take pictures and videos to assess their learning and to share their work with others. I am also requesting an Apple TV multimedia receiver and speakers. which will make the iPad mini an excellent teaching tool. The iPad and accessories will have a huge impact on my instruction of all subjects. The receiver will work with my classroom projector to project the iPad screen onto the whiteboard for whole class instruction. The IPad could also be used for small group and individualized instruction. The opportunities for student growth and success are endless!

Donations for my request will make a BIG difference to the education of the students in my classroom.

An iPad would be an engaging way for them to sharpen their skills independently. They CAN'T WAIT to get their hands on this new and exciting technology. Your help can make this happen. Thank you for considering donating to our project!
