I Want to Make a Math Dictionary!!!

My students need index cards and binder rings to make a math dictionary.

My Students

The best way to remember is through repetition and repeated exposure.

I teach 8th grade math in a high poverty school where meeting the basic needs is sometimes challenging.

My students have the drive and ambition to learn, but many lack the resources to help them succeed. Many do not have family members around to review the concepts learned in school on a day-by-day basis.

My Project

I am asking for index cards and binder rings so that we can create a "traveling" dictionary that they can carry with them at all times, which will allow them to review the important concepts, formulas, and definitions that they need to remember over the course of the entire year.

My goal as a teacher is to arm my students with the tools they will need to succeed both in my class and in life.

By creating the dictionaries, they will see that by constantly reviewing concepts they need to remember, they will be more successful. Hopefully this method will follow them throughout their educational future.
