My Students

Technology is the driving force of today's youth but most students don't have that technology available to them.

My students are from a Title 1 school.

Most qualify for free or reduced lunch and have limited resources to further their education beyond the textbook. They are hard-working and are eager to learn! These students also have a great desire to please their parents and teachers and will stop at nothing to make them proud despite their situations or circumstances.

My Project

I attended iPad Camp last week in an effort to earn one iPad for my classroom. In this training, I learned all sorts of things my students can do with technology in the classroom. The problem is that I would only have ONE iPad and my students won't fully benefit from it. In order to feed their need for technology, I am asking for 5 iPad minis that my students can use. Having these devices will help them practice necessary math skills in a fun way, create projects that aren't made on poster board, take responsibility for their learning, and learn to use some technology that will help them in their future.

With your help, my students can take their learning to another level.

Up-to-date technology is not available to them at home, but we can give it to them at school where they can enjoy learning and become tech-savvy at the same time.
