Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For Kindergartner and First Grades, one of the most favorite times in Library Class is Free Reading. They are encourage to read at their levels using beginning reader books. They spread about Library with Reading Buddies, use alternative seating like pillows, floor chairs, ottomans, or lay on their bellies in the stacks, hugged by books on the shelves. Finding letters, blends, word endings and Sight Words is so exciting to our beginning readers! They are so proud of themselves!

Having magnifying glasses to use when we go on our Sight Word Hunts would take our lesson to the next level!

These Sight Word and Letter Hunts not only help with beginning readers skills, but also help students work on reading stamina with a single text. The little magnifying classes for 1st graders to take will be an exciting and fun way to work on their Sight Words at home, play Library, and/ or play school!
