I work at a beautiful public school in the Philadelphia School District with a very diverse population. Our students come from many different home situations with a vast variety of backgrounds. Regardless of their home lives, the students come to school every day, eager to learn something new. My students are, simply put, amazing! I teach math and science to exceptional fifth-grade students. They push me out of my comfort zone and make me want to be a better teacher. We have a lot of exciting activities and projects going on this year and can really use your help.
My Project
We all know that when we are comfortable we allow ourselves to open up to new experiences. The goal of this project is to provide options for students that allow them to enjoy their math experience to the fullest.
Students will love the flexible seating this project provides and will look forward to coming to math class every day!
When students enjoy the environment of the classroom they will allow themselves to focus on lessons and not let distractions get in the way of their learning.
Along with the flexible seating in this project, we also will receive lots of essential materials for the classroom including white and colored printer paper, sharpened pencils, and Expo markers. These materials are essential for the projects and hands-on learning that we complete in our classroom every day. I cannot wait for my students to receive these wonderful supplies and feel the love and support of their community that they disserve.
