My Project

My students have special needs and require special accommodations to help them perform to the best of their abilities. One thing that has been proven to benefit my students is taking frequent mental breaks. My students love to sit in office chairs where they can spin, roll or lay down when taking a break. I am asking for two new office chairs to put in my classroom to help with this accommodation.

Students will have access to utilize these chairs when they want the vestibular and proprioceptive input of spinning which they report helps to alleviate their anxious feeling throughout the day.

I am also asking for items to keep my classroom clean like magic erasers and disinfecting pads. The magnetic hooks will be utilized on my whiteboard to hand important documents and communication boards that the students can utilize to communicate their wants/needs and feelings.

Lastly, I am requesting items that will be utilized during an October 31st classroom celebration.
