Help me give my students these engaging manipulatives for our small group sessions. Having fun manipulatives and games, such as the Learning Center, will allow students to see that Math is fun, and not as scary or confusing.

My Students
My first graders are the cutest group ever! Although they struggle to keep up with their classmates in their regular classroom, they are super hard workers, and really love learning! A large population of my students are English language learners, and come from other countries, so my biggest struggle is getting them to learn how to use manipulatives. My other groups have some gaps in their learning. In a larger group they become easily frustrated and begin to lose confidence in themselves. However, in our small group, they thrive and love "getting it". I love seeing the smile on their faces when they realized they've learned a new concept and are excited to show it off!!!
My Project
Math should be fun! Unfortunately, for some students, who constantly struggle with Math, it can be scary and confusing. I want to create an environment where Math is exciting and fun and can be learned through play and exploration!
That is why I want to use engaging activities and games, in our small group sessions.
I want students to become confident and truly love learning in a safe environment, where mistakes can be made and learned from.
What better way to learn than through play? These hands-on activities will help my students be the best learners and mathematicians they can be!
