This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our first grade classroom, we utilize big books to reinforce phonics patterns, sight words, and grammar during our daily reading stations. My students love this station!

The big books we currently have are almost ten years old and falling apart.

Many of them have been taped together several times and need to be replaced.

New big books would give my students the opportunity to learn and grow as readers without worrying about the book falling apart. My students we love new big books to use in this reading station.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
