I Have Instruments - But No Way to Use Them!

My students need fourteen stands to hold our xylophones and metallophones, especially for the huge bass instruments.

I teach music to 375 students in a high-need community - but my students' passion and enthusiasm for music is incredible.

I was lucky to inherit several xylophones and metallophones in various sizes when I started working at my school. Last year, I arranged the instruments (called Orff instruments) in one corner of my room, and the students would play them frequently. This year, however, I moved out of my large room and into a very small one. In my new room, there isn't even room for chairs. Needless to say, my "orffestra" lost it's home. Right now, my xylophones and metallophones are packed away in the closet. Getting out all fourteen instruments is such a hassle - the students can't even carry the largest ones!

If we had rolling stands for the instruments, however, set-up would be a breeze! One student helper could roll all fourteen instruments out in seconds flat.

Instruments shouldn't sit in a closet, taking up space and gathering dust! Your help will make it possible for my students to play instruments more often - their favorite activity, bar none. Elementary music class is the only formal music training some students ever get. Help my students get the most out of their music class!
