My Project

This fall I will begin teaching in a school library that has not had a librarian in...five years? seven years? Nobody is quite sure. What is certain is that the collection is missing newer, more interesting books.

It is important that all students feel welcome, included, and loved by seeing themselves represented in the books they read.

These twenty-one books will begin the process of updating the collection to reflect the lives of all students at our school. With humor, horror, superheroes, science fiction, fantasy, chapter books, and graphic novels, there is sure to a book to interest every reader.
