"We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher's hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world." - David Warlick
I am a first grade teacher in Florida.
Out of the 750 kids at my school, a majority of kids are on free or reduced-price lunch. My kids are eager to learn, and I'm eager to inspire them. Some students in my class have special needs, and I am looking to help meet their needs through technology.
Although my students come from different backgrounds, one thing we all have in common is technology. We are all living in the digital age whether these students have technology resources at home or not. Kids respond positively to lessons involving technology.
I want to expose my kids to the iPad to connect them with the world.
My students will be able to work in centers with the iPad, and it will help those who are kinesthetic and visual learners. I want to prepare them for a future of using technology. This iPad will be useful not only to my current students but to my future students as well! This iPad will be the gift that keeps on giving.
