This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students will look forward to writing in their journals. Each day there is an authentic and engaging writing prompt . My students should become deeper thinkers and better writers. As students share their responses, new friendships can develop.

Encouraging student voice and high-quality socio-emotional learning are two of my non-negotiables.

On a daily basis, my students will be provided time to write in their journals and share out their responses. I will preview their responses to build stronger students relationships and instruct them accordingly.

My students enjoy learning, ask meaningful questions, and love to chat. They try hard and appreciate positive and corrective feedback.
