Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some of my students have moderate to severe disabilities, and some are medically fragile. However, that does not stop them from learning new things and advancing in their skills. They love hands-on, active, and engaging activities that allow them to express themselves in their unique ways. My students arrive at school ready to take the day on and always trying their best in everything. We incorporate multiple strategies in the classroom to make sure every student has equity such as, alternative seating, sensory strategies, and adapting/modifying instructions, just to name a few. My students make my day fun, and I am blessed to be their teacher on this wild preschool ride!

My Project

Students in my class have moderate to severe disabilities. Having a color printer will help colorful print worksheets, eye-catching placemats, bright name tags that are easier to see and find, and many more. The color printer will provide visual support for some of my visually impaired students. The colors will help them learn colors, shapes, and letters, and printing them in color will be more fun and engaging during our centers. This printer will also make colored schedules for the classroom and colored transition icons and individual PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System). The colors will make the visuals more accessible and help make transitions easier for my students.
