Have you ever felt like, "Why does everyone else have something that I don't?" In life, this is a sad reality, In education, it doesn't have to be that way! It is possible to keep up with other districts that have more technology by using, "Donors Choose!"
Our school is a small, rural school in Michigan.
There are 29 students in my 4th grade class. Many are from low socio-economic families. In our school district, we have only four 4th grade classes. Many of the students are involved in extra-curricular activities. Even though there are nearly 30 students in the classroom, they treat each other like they are family.
Having a projector in my classroom will enable me to use the computer with Internet access to open the world up to my students. It will help me engage them in learning while I am teaching a lesson. I will also be able to teach basic computer skills that many of them are lacking.
This project will enable my students to be on a more level playing field when it comes to technology.
When a student is lacking basic computer skills, they are at such a disadvantage. Hopefully, this will help them get the education they deserve.
