Help me give my students a touch-screen laptop to use in our technology center. The 15.6 screen will enable our students, with visual disabilities, to experience more success in our 21st-century learning environment.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My name is Tammie Irving, a Special Education Specialist, from a Magnet School of Technology. I’m writing, on behalf of our scholars with disabilities. I currently provide instruction to 20 scholars with disabilities, in the resource room setting. My resource classroom supports scholars who possess a range of disabilities, which also include visual disabilities.
Our mission is to provide 21st-century learning opportunities for all scholars, regardless of their disabilities.
I Can See Clearly Now That the Screen Has Grown, will be a technology center for my students with visual disabilities. This center will provide a laptop with a larger viewing screen, and access to a touchscreen computer, during their rotation to the technology center.
We’re asking if your organization would so graciously partner with Team ExCEL so that our scholars with visual disabilities can see more clearly now that their laptop screen has grown. Your support would be desired in funding the purchase of this much-needed 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop, for our 21st Century Technology Center.
