My students need this leveled library to continue driving their instruction. Having books that are on their independent and instructional reading levels readily available will help make for a comfortable successful learning environment.

My Students
"There needs to be a lot more emphasis on what a child can do instead of what he cannot do."- Temple Grandin
I teach an 8:1:1 self-contained 3-5th grade class.
My students are diagnosed with various disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome. They are met with a variety of challenges on a daily basis, but that does not stop them. This year they have made a tremendous amount of progress and we want to keep it going. I want to help my students reach all of their goals and having the proper materials would greatly help to continue this drive.
My Project
Good readers choose to read a wide variety of materials. My good readers need those reading materials to choose from.
The kindergarten bundle and the leveled readers will make it easier for my students to select books they can truly read.
The storytelling kits in the kindergarten bundle will bring books to life, grab student interests, and include sight-word readers making understanding easy.
The leveled reader bins will provide a library clearly labeled and organized by levels of difficulty, making it easier for them to choose appropriate books. It is crucial to provide each student with a variety of books within their level.
