Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom starts out with greeting my 30 wonderful students. They come in ready and eager to learn. For many of them, English is their second language. My goal is to get them as ready as I can for their futures.

They are the sweetest and hardest-working students I have ever had.

I work in an inner-city school. The majority of my students come from low-income homes. We are very underfunded, and it has become extremely difficult to provide my students with even the bare necessities that they need and deserve.

My Project

Yes they can! It is hard to believe that my students came into Kindergarten without even knowing their letters or sounds! They have been working very hard and I am so proud of what they have accomplished so far. My students are readers!!! They are enjoying every minute of their new skill. They now need easy reading, high interest books to keep them going. And to keep us all organized, a bookshelf with bins would be perfect ! Will you help us out with a small donation? The greatest and most important skill I can give my Kindergarten students is a love of reading! With your help, I can do just that!
