Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Children learn by doing and I try to provide my students with as many hands on opportunities as possible!

I teach in a low income community and the majority of my students are English Language Learners.

I am working hard to ensure that all of my students master the second grade standards, but they need opportunities to practice these skills. The activities I am requesting will provide them with those opportunities.

My Project

I am requesting magnetic letters and magnetic boards to use with the letters. These resources will allow my students to practice forming their high frequency words, spelling words, and vocabulary words in a fun way. I am also requesting the complete set of I Can Reading activities. This resource will provide my students to independently practice reading and writing skills including vowel sounds, sight words and word building.

My students are an amazing group of second graders and I know they will do great things.

I would like to help them as they progress through school by ensuring that they love learning and enjoy school.
