This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing personal hygiene products to students supports their learning by promoting health, confidence, and focus in the classroom. When children have access to essential items like deodorant, soap and toothpaste they are less likely to miss school due to illness and more likely to feel comfortable and confident among peers. Good hygiene habits reduce the spread of germs, leading to fewer distractions and absences, while also fostering a sense of self-respect and well being that contributes to a positive learning environment. Ultimately, meeting students’ hygiene needs lays the foundation for academic success.
