The insect exploration mats are helping students compare, sort, and identify different insects based on their characteristics. The four dissected insects encased in acrylic have also been a wonderful resource for close observation. Students have been able to safely examine the insects' bodies and notice details they might not otherwise be able to see.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were so excited and curious! They immediately wanted to look closely at the insects, ask questions, and share what they already knew.
