My Project

My students need these hygiene products because so many of them walk into school carrying more than just backpacks — they carry worries they shouldn’t have to shoulder. Some don’t have steady access to basic personal care items at home, and that can leave them feeling embarrassed, distracted, or disconnected from their peers. No young person should have to choose between focusing on their education and worrying about whether they feel clean or confident enough to get through the day.

Providing these products is about so much more than hygiene.

It’s about giving students a sense of dignity, comfort, and belonging. When they have what they need to feel good about themselves, they show up differently — they participate more, they smile more, and they allow themselves to be fully present in the classroom. These small items make a big difference in helping them feel seen, supported, and valued.

This support tells them that their well‑being matters and that our community is here to lift them up. It’s a simple act of care that can change the way a student experiences school, and sometimes, even how they see themselves.
