Your donation allowed me to purchase 10 compound light microscopes and prepared slides for viewing. My high school biology and marine biology students were able to view and learn about microscopic life thanks to your donations. Students are thrilled to see life magnified! My biology students were first taught how to properly use a compound light microscope, then they spent several weeks preparing slides and viewing and learning about microscopic life including unicellular organisms, plant cells, and animal cells.\r\n\r\nOur next steps will include having students classify the steps of cell division using prepared slides and microscopes to view onion cells dividing. Viewing actual cells under a microscope rather than learning from a textbook or notes makes learning way more enjoyable for biology students.
