Help me give my students personal care products which are not readily available in our village. I teach in rural Alaska and I want my students to come to school and feel good about themselves.

My Project

Hygiene products are not readily available. I currently teach in a small village in Alaska. I have students who don't come to school due to a lack of personal care.

Once you take away the worries of basic needs, the students feel safe to learn.

I usually have a cabinet full of personal care items and snacks. Where the students can feel safe to come and take what they need, with no questions asked. I noticed once I started this cabinet my attendance has gone up. Students feel good and their self-esteem has gone up. Plus when the students are at school, they can learn.

Please, help with my mission of making every kid feel good about coming to school.
