This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For the past two years, in an attempt to be more sanitary and reduce illnesses, we have been able to provide all of our students, including any new student that started after the year started, with brand new water bottles.

With ESSER funds, were were finally able to get 2 water bottle filling stations per floor and would love to continue to promote kids utilizing them.

Providing the bottles helps with many things: improved focus when there are extremely hot days, by keeping them hydrated, preventing illnesses that might be transferred when drinking directly from fountains (because, let's face it, our littles often put their mouths on it to drink), as well as limits students from needing to leave their classrooms to get drinks, which means they remain in their classroom more to learn.
