My students are extremely curious and, since it is their first year in an all-day structured program, they transition often from guided instruction to free choice learning. We have learning center time and a state-approved curriculum to keep them on track with other children their age in our state. I tell my students that they are the" Best Kids in Texas" and our motto is "We are all friends."
I teach pre-kindergarten students at a Title I school in Texas, currently recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are English Language Learners and have lots of excitement about school.
My Project
We have two classrooms of Pre-Kindergarten classes that have been lovingly filled with lots of sweet faces this year due to Hurricane Harvey.
We have two schools combined to make up one school this year due to the storm and our little Pre-K students are ready to move on, graduate and go to Kindergarten.
What better way to end this year with special cap and gowns and be able to show pride in our school! We have learned to work together with our neighbors and turn the hurricane situation into something beautiful by making new friendships and connections for life.
Thank you for considering our Pre-K as we look forward to closing out this school year and having a fresh start!
